Since June 2010, physical intervention skills have been part of many SIA approved qualifications, such as the Door Supervisors training programme. All Physical Intervention trainers or Physical Restraint trainers offering the SIA linked Door Supervisors qualifications must have completed this trainer’s programme.

Therefore, upon completion of the Level 3 Award in Deliverers of Physical Intervention training for the Private Security Industry (RQF (QCF)) training course, trainers are able to deliver the Level 2 Award in Physical Intervention Skills RQF (QCF) / Unit 4 of Level 2 Award in Door Supervision (RQF (QCF)) under the license of Guardian Angels Training or full support can be offered to enable you to set up as your own approved training centre.
Unit 1 of the Level 3 Award in Deliverers of Physical Intervention training for the Private Security Industry (RQF (QCF)) covers the understanding, knowledge and skills for the safe and effective use of physical intervention skills.
Unit 2 of the Level 3 Award in Deliverers of Physical Intervention training for the Private Security Industry (RQF (QCF)) will provide you with the skills to teach and assess the approved physical intervention skill set safely.
