Our Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care RQF (QCF) training course offers delegates the chance of earning a nationally recognised qualification approved by Skills for Care and Development and built around the Health and Social Care National Occupation Standards.
Certification at such a level indicates a higher standard of knowledge and competence for those working in social care environments. As such, the course is ideally suited to those working in supported living settings, domiciliary services, primary care environments or any similar residential settings.
In order to pass the course and obtain official certification, delegates must achieve at least 46 credits in total which can be earned by successfully completing nine optional knowledge and competence units and nine mandatory units.
Optional knowledge and competence units vary in accordance with the specific field/environment in which the individual is working or intending to work. Candidates will also have the option of focusing their course on a specific element of health and social care (learning disabilities, dementia etc.) or to instead study for more general Health and Social Care certification.
Success is determined and measured in accordance with the delegate’s ability to present evidence of progress as their work-based performance is monitored and measured by course leaders. The candidates’ ability to satisfy all criteria laid out in the course description will be evaluated in accordance with a portfolio of evidence collected throughout the duration of the course. Prior to final assessments taking place, candidates will be assisted in the assembly and preparation of their portfolio of evidence by a skilled RQF (QCF) Diploma assessor.
As an added extra, candidates will be granted telephone and email support during their RQF (QCF) Diploma study period, along with a variety of additional study materials and resources on request.
In order to qualify for the RQF (QCF) Diploma in Health and Social Care course, delegates must already be working in a relevant position within the Health and Social Care sector. However, there are no restrictions in terms of age, education or prior qualifications earned.
There are no fixed periods for completion, however, depending on experience most delegates complete within 6-9 months.
On completion of this program delegates are able to progress on Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care RQF (QCF).
